We hope this email finds each of you well. As you are aware, an initiative of our 35th Class Reunion was the establishment of a Dynasty Class of 1990 Scholarship for the legacy of Dynasty classmates. We are happy to announce the opening of the scholarship application process. Outlined below are the eligibility requirements, general information and scholarship application requirements.

Student Eligibility Requirements for the Dynasty Class of 1990 Scholarship Award
● Minimum High School GPA of 2.5.
● Incoming freshman at Hampton University.
● Must be a lineal descendant of a recognized Class of 1990/Dynasty member.
● Completed application must be submitted electronically to dynastyscholarship1990@gmail.com by scholarship deadline date, September 15, 2026.
Dynasty Class of 1990 Scholarship General Information
● Scholarship award amount: $1500.
● Renewable annually based on available funds and a minimum 2.5 GPA.
● Scholarship payment will be made directly to Hampton University.
● Dynasty Class of 1990 Scholarship is subject to the rules, policies and procedures of Hampton University.
● If the student has received a full academic or athletic scholarship, please do not apply.
● Dynasty reserves the right to publicize the name and image of the scholarship recipient on its website, social media, print publications and Hampton University related marketing initiatives.
Scholarship Application Packet for Candidate MUST include:
● A completed application form.
● An essay from the student describing their leadership, service, educational goals, and how this scholarship will support their Hampton University journey.
● Two (2) letters of recommendation, with at least one from a teacher or guidance counselor (examples include: an academic counselor, advisor, teacher, community leader, minister, or person in a capacity who has direct knowledge of applicant’s character, personality, leadership potential, capacity for growth, disciplined work habits, self-confidence, and/or but not limited to ability to take initiative). Letters of recommendation cannot be written by a parent or relative.
● Copy of official high school transcript.
● Headshot Photo.
● Hampton University Acceptance Letter or proof of registration.
